Have the students listen to a song named the beautiful campus and then encourage theme to talk about their school life in senior high. For example: what do you think of your new school /your new teachers? What do your usually do after school? Step Ⅱ Speaking

Have the students turn to page 7 and talk about what the students usually do after school in America according to the pictures.

Step Ⅲ Cultural Corner

Ask the Ss to read the letter from a Senior High student in the US on page 9.While reading, ask them to underline the words or phrases they don’t understand. And then deal with these difficulties for them. Then ask them to read the passage again and decide the main idea of each paragraph. After that, have the students fill in the chart below in pairs and check it up together. At last, the teacher asks some students to talk about it.
